Lunch & Learn: Built to Save – CPR & First Aid Training

Be prepared to act when it matters most.

Join the Home Builders Association of Greater New Orleans Professional Women in Building (PWB) Council for a hands-on Lunch & Learn focused on CPR and First Aid training. Whether you’re learning for the first time or need a refresher, this session will equip you with the knowledge and confidence to respond in emergency situations—at home, on the jobsite, or in your community.

Led by experienced medical professionals, this interactive training will cover essential life-saving techniques in a practical, easy-to-understand format.

Lunch will be provided, and space is limited—early registration is encouraged.

Courtney Roy, RN.

Drive, dedication, and determination would definitely be the way to describe Courtney Roy. As the daughter of 2 business owners, she is a natural born leader. She is a mover and a shaker. Courtney was born in East St. Louis and raised in New Orleans. She professes to be so New Orleans as her hobbies are meshed with New Orleans culture. Courtney attended Jeff Parish schools and is a graduate of Xavier Prep, LA Technical College and Delgado Charity School of Nursing. She has been a nurse for 20 years. She is the co owner and CEO of ACTS Home Health Care Inc and Able Life Care Services. Inc. She is also the Co-Owner of Nola Stitching, LLC. She is the owner of DBA Business Centre, LLC.

With a need to train her staff, she obtained her CPR instructor certification with the American Heart Association and now teaches throughout the New Orleans community. Courtney has taught 100s of students including fitness instructors, dentists, nurses and allied health professionals, medical and dental students, childcare workers, industry workers, tattoo artists and babysitters over the past 15 years. She believes that making classes fun and interactive increases the students chance of retaining the information taught and the likelihood of the student being able to save a life through the training given. Courtney established Heartfelt Training Services LLC in 2019 and has watched it climb to higher heights. She is an avid reader and loves volunteering in the community in her spare time.

She is determined to make a difference in every one she meets and lives by the words, “dont let the world change your smile, but let your smile change the world”.

Instructor

Steven Roy

After spending 15 years incarcerated, Steven hit the ground running and making up for lost time. With an innovative mind and sheer determination, his accomplishments both while incarcerated and since his release have been remarkable. From tutoring other inmates to teaching CPR to health professionals. What a testimony! Steven holds a bachelor of arts degree in Buisness Administration from Southern University at New Orleans.

He is the co owner of ACTS Home Health Care Inc, NOLA Stitching LLC and Able Life Care Services Inc. He also owns Manikin Blaqk clothing brand and is often seen encourage others on self love and healing. He is American Heart Association certified CPR instructor.

Steven loves teaching and it reflects in his teaching style. He is often given rave reviews.. Having had to perform CPR as a bystander, Steven understands the importance of CPR and its effectiveness.
